Point Lonsdale: Under Attack

Point Lonsdale, situated on Victoria’s Bellerine Peninsula, is home to many remnants of WW2. Namely, the bunkers that are dotted along the coast line of the Bellerine Peninsula. Even this far south, Australia was under attack. Today, these bunkers stand as concrete skeletons of what they once were. Defaced with graffiti and tags, people declaring their love for one another, and exposed rebar, they are juxtaposed by the beautiful ocean views of Bass Straight.

Together with the lighthouse, pier, and war history, Point Lonsdale is definitely a place for photo opportunities, and exploration.
